Expertise & experience where you live
Our technology, impressive though it is,
must be accompanied by expertise,
experience–and a precise
commitment in mind.
That’s what our team of
board-certified physicians
brings. They are leaders
in assimilating advanced
technology into patient
care. Several serve as
faculty members of Rush
University.
And our commitment is
consistent: we’ve
pioneered the use of
precise technology to
treat cancer. Nuclear
Oncology Medical Care
was founded in 1971 by
Frank Hendrickson,
Chairman of Radiation
Oncology at Rush University Medical Center.
In 1976, he worked with Fermilab scientists
to build the Neutron Therapy Facility, one of
only 3 neutron centers in the country.
In 1999, Nuclear Oncology
Medical Care was part of
another major advance:
the first private practice to
offer IMRT, a dynamic
computer-controlled
process for delivering
individualized radiation
shaped to the precise
contours of the targeted
area. And in 2009, we're
taking another step
forward with CyberKnife
stereotactic radiosurgery.
For the benefits of this
dual philosophy, there’s
only one choice: Nuclear
Oncology Medical Care.
