Ommar Hla, M.D.
Dr. Ommar Hla received her M.D. from the Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. She then completed residency training in Radiation Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic, one of the leading comprehensive cancer centers. She also received extensive training and experience in Brachytherapy and Stereotactic Radiosurgery through fellowship training at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, one of the top training programs in Radiation Oncology.
Board certified in Radiation Oncology, Dr. Hla has expertise in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). She also has extensive experience in High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy for breast and gynecologic cancers and Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy for prostate cancers.
Dr. Hla has published and presented her research at several medical conferences and has received numerous awards including Fellowship from the American College of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Hla is also a member of several professional organizations including the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American College of Radiology, American College of Radiation Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society.
